Nestled in the Cascade Mountain range between Mount Saint Helens and Mount Rainier is Snowy Pines. Snowy Pines is centrally located between the two cities of Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. We live on 8.5 acres of picturesque land. We enjoy the seasonal changes of the Pacific-Northwest and the opportunities to have mountains, beaches and cities all within a short drive.

Our love of the breed far superseded our actual acquisition of one. We first fell in love with this breed in the early 90’s while volunteering for community agencies. Eiger joined us in 2002. Currently, we are owned by 7 Bernese: Eiger, Zurich, Clint, Geneva, Roxie,Gerde and Kitsey. We enjoy showing our dogs in AKC sanctioned events, participating in public education and attending club functions. We are active members of local, national and foreign Bernese clubs. These memberships allow us to interact with other berner enthusiasts, continue to grow and learn about the breed and make a larger impact on the breed’s future.

Our dogs are active members of our family. They live in the home with us, travel with us on vacation and help with chores and projects on the property. We welcome questions about the breed and our program. The Snowy Pines Bernese always enjoy visitors.

We entered the world of the Bernese Mountain Dog for the love of one dog, however, the love, friendships and memories that have grown from this narrowed perspective is indescribable.
